Helen Keller was an educator, advocate for the blind and deaf, global humanitarian and co-founder of the ACLU. After an illness left her blind and deaf at the age of 2, her teacher, Anne Sullivan helped her learn to communicate. Keller and Sullivan worked together for 49 years. Helen Keller graduated from Radcliffe College, and spent her life as an activist, working for the betterment of others.
About the original art: it was created using watercolor washes. I wanted something bold, confident, facing forward.
